About Shield Desk

Founders obsessed with secure collaboration

Our mission is to make confidential collaboration secure by default.

The people building it

TH

Trevor Henry

CEO LinkedIn

I'm a self-taught founder and builder with deep experience in blockchain technology and advanced encryption, focused on creating ultra-secure tools for teams that handle sensitive information every day. Over the last decade I've gone from running a relocation business that generated over $2M in 14 months to designing and shipping privacy-first software, secure infrastructure, and high-performing sales operations from the ground up. My work on Shield Desk brings together client-side encryption, modern key management, and lessons from decentralized systems to give organizations a workspace where messages, files, and projects stay locked down by default. I collaborate closely with firms in legal, healthcare, and financial services to make sure our security model actually fits their real-world workflows and regulatory pressures, not just an idealized architecture diagram.

JR

Jeremy Ross

CMO LinkedIn

Jeremy Ross is a strategic Public Relations and Communications leader with 10+ years of experience helping security-driven and B2B SaaS companies earn trust in sensitive, high-stakes markets. At Shield Desk, he focuses on turning complex ideas like encryption, compliance, and secure collaboration into clear, human stories that resonate with clients, partners, and the media, ensuring the product is understood not just as software, but as critical infrastructure for protecting confidential work. He has led campaigns that build credibility across national media, industry publications, and digital channels, while coaching founders and executives on how to communicate with clarity during launches, incidents, and major announcements. For Shield Desk, Jeremy's core strength is positioning the platform as the default secure workspace for legal, healthcare, and financial teams, aligning messaging with real-world risk, regulatory pressures, and the expectations of organizations that cannot compromise on privacy.

KL

Keith Lovell

COO LinkedIn

Keith Lovell is an accomplished commercial leader with deep experience in B2B sales, channel distribution, and operations, now focused on helping Shield Desk reach the organizations that need secure collaboration the most. He has managed national sales teams and multi-region distribution operations for leading global brands, consistently delivering growth and margin targets while overseeing sales, administration, and logistics across multiple product categories. At Shield Desk, Keith leverages his background with brands like Stanley Black & Decker, Addis, Hilti, and Kansai Plascon to shape go-to-market strategy, partner channels, and customer acquisition in legal, healthcare, and other security-sensitive sectors. His strengths include building and optimizing distribution channels, developing targeted marketing strategies, and leading high-performing account teams, ensuring Shield Desk is positioned, packaged, and delivered in a way that aligns with how real businesses buy, deploy, and scale secure workspace tools.

Why Shield Desk exists

We built it to remove an impossible trade-off

Shield Desk exists because “secure” tools have repeatedly failed the people and organizations who rely on them most. Law firms, healthcare providers, financial services, and high-risk teams are forced to juggle email, chat, file-sharing, and project tools that leak metadata, expose sensitive information through misconfiguration, and leave critical data sitting unencrypted on someone else's servers. Even when vendors promise encryption, keys are often centralized, access is overly broad, and auditability is an afterthought. The result is a constant trade-off between getting work done and keeping clients safe, one that too often ends in breaches, fines, or quiet reputational damage.

Shield Desk exists to remove that trade-off. It is built as a secure-by-default workspace where encryption, access control, and data minimization are baked into the core architecture, not bolted on as features. Instead of stitching together multiple tools and hoping each one is configured correctly, teams get a single environment where messages, files, and workflows are locked down end-to-end while still being fast and intuitive to use. The goal is simple: give serious organizations a place to work where confidentiality is the baseline, not a best-effort, so they can move faster, serve clients better, and sleep at night knowing their most sensitive information is not one click away from exposure.
